Danette Paige retires as ALWRI's Program Support Assistant

Woman crouches in the snow with two border collies

Last week ALWRI honored Danette Paige for her 22 years of federal service and wished her luck as she embarked on a well-deserved retirement. For the past two decades, Danette has been the initial contact point for visitors to the Aldo Leopold Wilderness Research Institute, providing budgetary, technical, fiscal, personnel and administrative services for Institute staff.

Danette started her college education at the University of Montana 20 years after finishing high school. It was both a challenging and an exciting time for her. She completed her AAS with an Administrative Management-Office Administration Option in 2006. Before joining ALWRI, she worked at the Fire Sciences Lab in Missoula as an Office Automation Clerk.

Danette is looking forward to spending more time with family and friends, and her four energetic border collies.
